Three ways to use social networking in the social studies classroom:
1. Send parents/students information about upcoming assignments.
2. Create a classroom page (e.g., with Ning or FaceBook) with supplemental information for students.
3. Use social networking to keep students apprised of "history in the news" or other information that is fun, but instructionally related.
